How to play Ranked
Ranked is a free daily ranking game. Rank ten cards by their hidden number, biggest to smallest. A new puzzle lands every day.
The game in three steps
- 1Each card hides a number. The card tells you what the number counts — calories in a Big Mac, people in Monaco, the year a song came out. It never shows you the number itself.
- 2Put the biggest number on top. Ignore the units. A number is a number. 71,940 passing yards beats 38,000 residents because 71,940 is simply the bigger figure. Drag the cards until they run from biggest at the top to smallest at the bottom.
- 3Lock it in and see how you did. Submit your order and the real answer flips into view, with a score out of 10. A flawless ranking is a perfect 10 — that's gold. Share your result with a friend and see if they can beat it.
What makes it different
Most daily games test one kind of knowledge. Ranked mixes them. In a single puzzle you might weigh a company’s worth against a mountain’s height, a movie’s box office against a city’s population, or a sprinter’s record against a country’s size. You are not ranking facts. You are ranking raw numbers — and that is a different, sneakier kind of fun.
The best moments land in one of three ways: “I should have known that,” “I learned something,” or “I have to send this to a friend.”
Common questions
- What is Ranked?
- Ranked is a free daily ranking game. Each day you get ten cards, each from a different category, and each hiding a real number. Your job is to rank the numbers from biggest to smallest. One puzzle a day, then you share your score.
- Is Ranked like Wordle?
- It shares Wordle's shape — one short puzzle a day, the same puzzle for everyone, a spoiler-free result you can share — but the game itself is different. Instead of guessing a word, you rank ten numbers across wildly different categories. If you like daily games like Wordle or Connections, Ranked will feel familiar.
- How does scoring work?
- You earn up to 10 points, based on how close your order is to the real one. Cards that are one spot off cost you a little; cards far out of place cost more. A perfect ranking scores a 10 and earns a gold medal. You always see exactly why you scored what you did.
- Do I need an account?
- No. There is no sign-up and no login. Your scores, your streak, and your stats are saved by your own browser and stay on your device.
- How often are there new puzzles?
- A fresh puzzle lands every day at midnight, with new categories and new cards each time. Miss a day and your streak resets, so it pays to come back daily.
